Secret Warriors: Christine

Welcome to this month’s series called Secret Warriors. It’s Women’s History Month, and even though these ladies are not in any textbook, their eternal book is being written daily.

Meet Christine

I have worked with Christine on and off for 15 years. She is now my manager at Coldwell Banker Now. In 2017, she had a conflict within her heart and mind about making a job change due to another agency pursuing her. She received council by a few different people and I was able to weigh in. I told her, “I feel like something is coming, so don’t leave.” Two months later, my husband passed away and I asked Christine if she would she close my real estate deals. All of them closed, and for that I am forever grateful. She didn’t ask me for anything in return. This is a testimony of a true friendship. Her heart was to serve and serve me she did. I was at peace about all the properties I was managing. She closed them all and it opened a door for her to explore management.

Now, almost four years later, she has been learning how to manage well and create innovative marketing ideas, all with a smile on her face. She is beautiful inside and out. She is a grandmother, mother, wife, sister, daughter, and my favorite friend. This lady has been a supporter of mine since I can remember. We have done so many different events together beyond work. It’s been a fun ride because she’s been by my side. She is a prayer warrior. She is brave. She is brilliant. She is creative. She is generous. She is becoming the woman God has always seen. She is learning to use her voice and her voice matters.

There have been days where she has sent me a text that was much needed, and I would say to her, “How did you know I needed that?” She would tell me, “I didn’t, but the Holy Spirit prompted me to send you a text.” Her words were Spirit-lead and it melted my heart just a little bit more. You see, when a friend sends a word that hits, it mends a hurting heart a little bit more. It does a few more healing things as well. It touches both parties. For, when the receiver responds back to the sender with these crying emojis 😭😭😭😭, or with a heartfelt thank you, you know you’ve hit on something deep. It’s humbling to the sender to know they were heard from the true Mender. It also reminds you that you matter to that person and to God, for He dropped the message into someone else’s heart that sparked them to write an inspiring text to you. This lady has done that over and over again. She carries the Spirit inside of her and she is also sooo funny. You need friends who can make you laugh in the midst of the crazy times we are living in.

“Some friendships don’t last for long, but there is one loving friend who is joined to your heart closer than any other!”

Proverbs 18:24 TPT

Christine and I have not always been close, but as times got tough she leaned in. To this day, she still hasn’t left my side. We have many places still to adventure together. The legs of this race called life still has more laps for us to complete. It’s been a hoot to say the least.

Christine, through the good times and the bad, you have always had my back. I’m eternally grateful to have felt your love and support. So, here is my pledge to you: To cheer for you until you say, I’m good Micah go cheer for another now.

She has served in so many other capacities in our community. It also needs to be mentioned she is a very hard worker and a consistent server.

So, Christine, I honor you. I honor your heart. It sparks me often and that makes me sooo happy. For when spirits spark, new things are birthed. It’s been an honor to create with you and we are just getting started. Let’s goooooo!!

Oh, daughter of light, you carry His might with beautiful blonde locks and a smile that melts many hearts. Keep shining bright 🌟

Until next time,

Stay tender.

Connect to the Mender.

Be a sender.

P.S. I was playing this album while writing this blog. As I was finishing, this was the song playing. It seemed fitting. Happy listening 😁

It’s Time to Live, Rachel Morley
