Kingdom Servers: Franklin Hometown Pharmacy & Belmont Peanuts

Welcome to the final week of Kingdom Servers.

I hope you have been enjoying this month of reflection in these businesses that have made an impression. This week’s featured businesses are Franklin Hometown Pharmacy and Belmont Peanuts Deli.

The pharmacy has a lot of tasty treats, but my favorite beverage is their Lavender Vanilla Latte. They love to feature local artisans in their store as well. From wreaths to soap, earrings to home décor, there are beautiful unique gifts available when you come to pick up your prescription. Also, they have an amazing artist who does the art on the coffee shop wall. Every month there is a different theme and one of their employees is amazing at designing and drawing them. I can’t go without mentioning that they carry a friend of mine’s baked goods called Kates Kreations. You have to come by and explore the goodies at this hometown store this week.

Next up is Belmont’s Deli. Their sandwiches are soooo sooo yummy. Personal story: when my friend Holly Ledbetter lost her husband back in February, it was a Wednesday night. By that Thursday, I knew I wanted to bring them food, and guess what? Belmont was the spot! I knew it would nourish and everyone ate great. There is something about grieving with good food that helps aid the healing process. It’s one less thing to have to think about. For in moments of shock/loss, your mind is not working in full clarity. Now, Belmont has a variety of items on their menu, from salads, wraps, ice cream, and sandwiches just to name a few. They have some good country ham, y’all, and readymade goodies in their refrigerated section as well. And, they also carry Kates Kreations.

This community has so many artisans and creatives. We are a very resourceful town. One day, I was thinking about what is missing here in our community. City and County budgets always seem to be tight. Maybe we have oil somewhere around here. What is our untapped resources around here, I asked myself.

Then it hit me. It’s US! We are the untapped resource. We the people have the goods within to create beautiful things. Like Belmont, it’s not only beautiful to look at, but it fills a need in a pocket of our county that needed a little bit of something yummy. So, thank you Belmont for branching out and investing in a deli. The memories and the stories coming from this shop make my heart want to pop, and that’s worth its weight in gold. 🥇

Lastly, here is my final thought about Kingdom Servers and a benefit “We the People” can give back to these businesses. Prayer!! When you drive by their shops, pray for them. Our words matter.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV

A healed land flourishes, and that is what we want for these businesses, for them to be around for a very long time from generation to generation. I must mention some of these businesses are first generation owners, but some are second generation and that is a blessing we get to receive. Amen and Amen.

Until next time,

Stay Tender.

Connect to the Mender.

Be a Sender.

Next month is Pastor Appreciation Month. I will be featuring my pastors and elders. Stay tuned, it’s going to be good!
