Beyond Pain - A Love Poem
Don’t let sorrow wash you away. Don’t let sorrow steal the happy days. Let God’s love light your way to transcend beyond the pain so life and love can renew on Jesus’ plain. Revel in God’s Joy and grace, so to carry God’s smile on your face. Past hurts are draining, so come to the fountain to never thirst again. Walk away from the sorrow of pain and let God’s Glorious love reign.

Being widowed has opened my eyes and I see things so much clearer. I live closer to God and His Word. What really blows my mind is my life, for all that has transpired in it, was no news to God. God knew I would have trauma, betrayal, sadness, resentment, epiphanies and heart change, along with broken generational curses. I am in a place where I can love and worship the Father wholly and know I only have to please Him. I am free to sing and dance in worship in my living room where no one can see but the Father.
I can see my love and relationship with Jesus much clearer now. I feel the Spirit of Jesus in me, and I know God is in my heart deeply. God saw what was coming, not just for me, but for all the people Jeff loved and cared for. Poppa God has gone above and beyond in His provision for our house, so I ask to be a blessing every day because all that I have is His.
God has never disappointed me. I know I have had moments when I felt let down until the Blessings were revealed, when Poppa God had to say no or not now to a situation. I have learned God loves me far more than I could ever understand or explain. I feel the only thing that comes close to understanding His love is the love I feel for my girl, Rose. I feel that one of the many blessings of children is our unconditional love for them and that love we feel is just a tiny glimpse into the love Poppa has for us. I wrote the poem above on a very dark heart night a couple of months after Jeff went on to be in Glory. I have much peace surrendering my ashes into God’s beautiful Glory.
Much Peace, Love and Joy on this Valentine’s Day from me and Rosie Roo.
What a beautiful poem, y’all!! This lady is a hero in my book and takes care of her daughter full-time as well. I hope this inspires you that no matter what the world throws at you, you are capable of learning something new. And with Jesus’ help, any ashes can be turned into something beautiful too.
“To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
