New Year, New Sight, and New Life.

There is something about having warm weather in December and January that gets me and my kids excited for new adventures. So, I decided to take my children to the Norfolk Virginia Zoo.

The animals were extremely active and I was able to get some amazing pictures and videos.

As we were walking through the zoo, we heard this loud roaring. It was uncommon to my natural ears, however, I knew it had to be a lion. My kids and I ran toward the sound, hoping to capture a glimpse of this King of the Norfolk Virginia Zoo. To see a lion this close was a new experience for me and my kids, but to hear his roar, his energy, and his strength was majestic. It reminded me of a song we sing at my church called, “Raise a Hallelujah.” (Songwriters: Jonathan David Helser / Melissa Helser / Molly Skaggs / Jake Stevens. Raise a Hallelujah lyrics © Bethel Music Publishing.) The chorus says,

I'm gonna sing, in the middle of the storm

Louder and louder, you're gonna hear my praises roar

Up from the ashes, hope will arise

Death is defeated, the King is alive!

As we cross into this new decade called 2020, I am expectant for what the Lord is going to fulfill. Are you? I want to keep stepping into the promise in 2020.

It’s a "dream being seen" kind of a year.

It’s a "dream big and bigger" kind of a year.

It’s a "sing a little louder" kind of a year.

It’s a "death has no sting because we serve a risen King" kind of a year.

It’s a "time to stop talking, and let’s do it" kind of a year.

I just want to give a cheer that this is the year for all of us!! No matter what you have experienced up to this point in your life, there is new life in Him still waiting for you.

“My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me— we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me and dispenses his life into mine!”

-Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“Jesus said, 'Now you will see. Receive your sight this moment. For your faith in me has given you sight and new life.'”

-Luke‬ ‭18:42‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I pray that this year for you is about new sight, clearer vision, clearer focus and understanding on the things that really matter to you, and clearer purpose for your individual journey. Let’s be clear that 2020 is here, and so, it’s time to cheer from ear to ear!!!
