Written on Our Hearts

Happy 4th of July everyone!!

This month, I want to focus on passages that mention sons and daughters. I will feature passages from Jeremiah and Ezekiel. They will be heart topics of course, for it continues to find me through my audible Bible listening journey.

Let’s begin:

Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a pleasant child? For though I spoke against him, I earnestly remember him still; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says the Lord. “Set up signposts, Make landmarks; Set your heart toward the highway, The way in which you went. Turn back, O virgin of Israel, Turn back to these your cities. How long will you gad about, O you backsliding daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing in the earth— A woman shall encompass a man.” “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.

-Jeremiah 31:20-22, 31-34 NKJV

“My heart yearns for him.”

“I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

I don’t know about you, but I have personally felt this has happened to me. When you meditate on God’s Word, over time it starts to be embedded in the fiber of your being. Some people call it embodiment. Folks, I cannot express this enough. When the Creator of the universe begins to write truths on your heart, a new identity starts pulsating throughout your being. For, your heart has been marked and those marks rewrite your/our his-story. Our Creator doesn’t leave scars. He exchanges them with truths from His heart. I have heard it so many times from people that even deep traumas from one’s childhood was wiped clean from their memory after a deep encounter from the One true God. You may say this only happens to some, not the sum. However, I am here to tell you it takes a quiet disciple to settle your thoughts and heart to allow an access door into your conscious and unconscious soul to hear from Him. BUT, IT’S POSSIBLE FOR ALL WHO ARE WILLING. This is called empowered transformational living.

This stuff gets me fired up 🔥 if you can’t tell in this last little bit of scribing. I am passionate about encouraging humans to find His presence and become a host of that said presence from that day forward. His presence releases momentum into our lives. It causes us to thrive and to believe for more beyond our own abilities to explore. This is the beginning of our access door to the land of the More. Why can’t we actually believe the God of the universe desires to co-create More in the earth through us? The soul is willing, but the flesh is weak scripture says. However, you can with the Holy Spirit master the flesh and become a Jedi sent out on assignments from the Most High. This is our inheritance!!!

Below is a 7-minute video of a gentle giant in the faith speaking identity. If you can make space in your day to sit and allow this to speak over you, you will be blessed. It’s one you might need to listen to many times to really allow it to sink beyond the surface of your heart and mind. It’s been a blessing to me.

Here is a second version of inheritance.

Welp, I didn’t see myself ending here today, but once I got started scribing, my fingers didn’t want to stop.

I hope your Independence Day is full of celebration, and maybe even a moment of remembrance, for we honor our inheritance of those who served before us. I am so thankful for the freedom surrounding us.
