Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ. So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things.”
Philippians 4:6-9 TPT
“The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.”
Philippians 4:9 AMP
Practice these things and the God of peace and well-being will be with you. What more do we need to hold on to as a promise?
When worry is screaming out from every social media broadcast, new reports changing by the day, more of our favorite places closing for an unknown amount of time, and our hijacked schedules, the God of peace is here to help. Recently, I got a word picture about prayer. I want to share that with you today. When we are not sure of what we can do, one thing I know for sure is that we can pray!
I received the following word picture about our prayers:
“Picture a map of the USA or wherever you are from. Every time we pray over a person, it’s like a net being cast from house to house. The more prayers we release, the more protection we receive. Keep casting your prayer nets. It’s a barrier. It’s covering us like a banner of love.
“God has brought us to His banquet table. His banner over us is love. As we seek Him at His table, His love pours into us for others and we start to pray. Those prayers go out and cover homes. Our prayers protect.
“Prayer is a like a muscle—the more you use it, the stronger your prayers become. As spiritual beings, it’s one of our strongest weapons to utilize other than praise. Overtime, our prayers will become our first line of defense in moments of restlessness, stress, or weakness. Take courage. Your heart is dying for you to awaken your prayer life. It activates something within that is eternal. The more you seek to connect to your heart, the more purpose you will find in the days ahead. You will stay ahead of the dread when prayer is overhead.”
Keep prayer activated! I look forward to finding out in Heaven how our prayer nets covered each other with faith, hope, and love for one another.
