HEART: Empower

E – Empower

The Google definition of empower is:

1. to give (someone) the authority or power to do something.

2. to make (someone) stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their rights.

The Bible tells us Who we are empowered by:

“Every Scripture has been inspired by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.”

2 Timothy 3:16 TPT

“The meaning of my words will release within you revelation for you to reign in life. My lyrics will empower you to live by what is right.”

Proverbs 8:6 TPT

I would like to share a song with you called Victory in Jesus:

I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory.

How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me.

I heard about His groaning of His precious blood's atoning.

Then I repented of my sins and won the victory.

Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever.

He sought me and He bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me 'ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him.

He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about His healing, of His cleansing power revealing.

How He made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see

And then I cried, "

Dear Jesus, come and heal my broken spirit"

I then obeyed His blest command and gained the victory.

Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever.

He sought me and He bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me 'ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him.

He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory. And I heard about the street of gold beyond the crystal sea. I heard About the angels singing the old redemption story.

Oh and some sweet day I'll sing up there the song of victory.

Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever.

He sought me and He bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me 'ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him.

He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood

He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood

I've got a victory in Jesus

You've got a victory in Jesus

We are surrounded by victory. We are part of His-story and our part matters. We are no longer lost, because we have finally found where we belong: in His presence. In His presence is the fullness of joy. In His presence comes peace. In His presence comes a release. In His presence comes perspective. In His presence comes a spiritual mending of our heart, mind, and soul.

When you lean on the Mender, Jesus, you will experience wholeness one layer and moment at a time until freedom is your full victory story. His sacrifice on the cross crushed the shame of sin within. This gives us the victory to rule and reign in life. Life will happen. Bad things will still happen. But we can go to the source of all life and ask for an exchange of Grace to walk through this next leg of the race. He will empower you to see it through.

“Jesus replied, “Loving me empowers you to obey my word. And my Father will love you so deeply that we will come to you and make you our dwelling place.”

John 14:23 TPT

Speaking of dwelling place, I just finished a book called, Saints Becoming More Than Christians. In the last chapter, the author said this:

“The author of Hebrews implores us not to lose sight of our hope, the promise of a new life in Christ: ‘We are his house if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope’ (3:6). There is something outlandish here, something controversial. We are his house. The evidence of his genius. We are seen; he is unseen. But don’t get it twisted - a house’s brilliance is the reflection of its builder. He, Jesus, is the master builder. Every bit of “our glory” reflects him.”

I love this thought so much. We reflect His glory. Be empowered by the only source of power that truly transforms our normal into supernormal. The more we seek Him, the more His light radiates from us.

So, in this hour, remember to use your Holy Ghost power. And, as always, it starts by bringing your cheer and smiling from ear to ear.
